Rain woke us up early in the morning. An unsettling thought followed immediately: could it find its way into the garage through the unfinished deck?

By the time the workers showed up, the rain had stopped, and they finished the waterproofing on the top of the garage. They started building the wooden foundation for the actual trex, but they ran out of the necessary material. We are not very happy about the pace of the work.

Finished Stephen King’s horror novel Carrie. Not my genre. Did some writing for future blog posts.

Went to do some shopping in University Village, thinking it might be time to refresh my summer wardrobe. No luck in finding anything that is my style.

But at least got a good walk home through the neighborhoods in the afternoon sunshine.
