There is no need to buy Christmas cards in a store. With a little creativity, one can make their own unique ones which probably would be treasured by the recipients.
I made these (and many more) cards a few years ago using used postage stamps. I bought empty cardstock in a paper supply store. For my design, I tried to color coordinate the stamps by adding a bit of layering with colored papers of different textures, and occasionally a sticker. Besides the cardstock, stamps, and papers, I needed only scissors, glue, and a straightedge. And, of course, a few hours of my time. It was a lot of fun to think about the design and the whole activity was very relaxing. The scanned photos feature the front side of the cards.
