Happy summer solstice, everyone! On this first official day of summer, on our home front, the good and bad continued.

I had hoped to continue with more gardening today, but instead the day brought other activities and news (good and bad).

Today it was all about gardening.

“A poignant and significant day.” – said my husband, Steve, is his social media post today. It was his father’s 100th birthday!

Rain woke us up early in the morning. An unsettling thought followed immediately: could it find its way into the garage through the unfinished deck?
